Co-propieter of Rancho Pitaya, Mary Jane Gagnier owned a art and craft gallery in Oaxaca before falling in love with horses and country living.

The Cactus Suite

The Cactus Suite opens to patio with big vist

This cozy room features  vintage 1940’s serigraph prints by Carlos Merida and authentic Epoca de Oro Mexican movie poster.






Both guest suites can be reserved with one kingsize bed or two twin beds, and comfy cots for kids can easily be added.







The guest suites open directly on to a spacious patio with big vistas of the cacti-studded mountains.




Artist, Cheryl Seim, created unique fused glass panels inspired by the themes of each guest suite


Cactus and agave motifs mirror the vegetation at Rancho Pitaya.








Comfortable traditional leather "equipales" in the sitting area.


The Girasol Suite

Animal motifs are featured in the original etchings and crafts in this spacious guest room.

Handwoven textiles are a highlight of the interior










Mary Jane decorated the guest suites with art and textiles from her own collection.
