Half Day Instructional Ride

Learn the basics of handling a horse in open country.

This ride combines the exploration of the exotic foothills and diverse farm lands surrounding the ranch with hands-on trail-riding instruction. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some riding experience and want to refresh your skills we have just the right horse for you. Our instructional rides focus on the safety aspects of trail riding including dismounting and leading the horse on tricky terrain as well as moving out at a faster pace for more experienced riders. At Horseback Mexico we practice a gentle style of riding which allows you and your horse to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Oaxacan country side while also focusing on the correct communication between rider and horse using posture and voice commands.
